Joining forces for a cause near to our hearts.

The Hardymans and the Magnusons, have been joining forces since 2007 to help local families affected by cancer. The Red Wing, Minnesota families established the Pay It Forward – Red Wing organization to honor their mothers, Jean and Marvel, who lost their fight against breast cancer.
Pay It Forward-Red Wing has contributed $400,000 to individuals struggling to make ends meet while battling cancer. The fund assists patients who are going through or or who have received any type of cancer treatment with the payment of necessary living expenses. It the organization’s hope that families who receive help will someday, somehow–either financially or otherwise, find a way to “pay it forward” by helping other families during treatment.
I have trouble finding words that can really express how thankful I am for the $1,500 that was provided to me to help me pay my rent during and after my cancer treatment. I am going to Pay it Forward someday soon! With much gratitude,
Pay It Forward, 2018 Recipient
FINANCIAL IMPLICATIONS OF CANCER.
A cancer diagnosis can be devastating emotionally, but the financial burden can be equally challenging. Patients with health insurance may be unable to work during treatment or may even lose their job. The added stresses of unpaid bills, child care and transportation does not promote a healing environment.
